Sriracha honey-roasted. Makes my mouth water. I’m trying to avoid cursing for emphasis, but these babies are delicious and beautiful. They also require virtually no work to make–1 minute to chop off 1 inch from the top of the artichoke, and a few more to combine 1 tbsp of Sriracha, 1 tbsp of honey and 3 tbsps of olive oil in a glass.
Beeeeeeeeautiful
Pre-heat the oven to 425 F. Combine the ingredients using a fork or a whisk and paint the artichokes with a pastry brush. Try to get the sauce inside the middle and around the leaves. It helps if you pull off a few of the outer levels of the leaves and spread the artichoke out a little, thereby widening the hole in the middle. This will allow you to really coat the artichoke nicely.
Place the artichokes into a baking pan and sprinkle with salt. A pinch of salt for each artichoke will do it. Pop the artichokes in the oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The outer leaves will become burnt /black, but the inner portion of the artichoke should be nice and tender.
no filter on these babies!
The honey sriracha sauce takes on more flavor from the honey than the sriracha, so these artichokes should be lick-your-fingers delicious and not very spicy at all.
- 3 Artichokes
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey
- Preheat the oven to 425 F
- Chop 1 inch off of the top of the artichokes
- Combine the olive oil, sriracha and honey with a whisk
- Paint the tops and sides of the artichokes. Drizzle remaining sauce in the middle of the artichokes
- Place in the oven for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Check the artichokes in the last 10 to 15 minutes. The artichokes will look brown/black on the outside, but should be a nice green/brown on the inside once the artichoke is spread apart.
